I’ve ordered from The MeatEater a couple of times now, the prices seem fair for what you’re getting. It’s not the cheapest site out there, but the quality has matched what I paid, so I can’t really complain. I mostly blame myself when I don’t wait for one of their sales, because they seem to run them often and that’s usually the best time to stock up. Shipping was smooth both times, and everything arrived correctly. Overall, it’s been a good experience and a solid value.

There’s something really comforting about this community. It reminds me of those local spots where people actually know each other and the conversations feel real, not forced. Every time I check in, it feels active, welcoming, and easy to be part of. Just a good group of folks with a solid community vibe.

The tracking worked most of the time, but it sat in the same spot for a few days with no real update, which was frustrating. In the end, the stuff arrived fine and nothing was missing. I guess I’d order again if I needed to, but I do wish the shipping updates were a little more dependable.

I tried this last week, it tasted even better than I expected. The meat had a rich, full flavor and definitely wasn’t bland. It was easy to cook too, which I think other customers would really appreciate. My family enjoyed it so much there wasn’t anything left after dinner. I’d definitely order it again

I ordered a hoodie from The MeatEater and accidentally picked the wrong size, which was totally on me. I started the exchange online, I think it was maybe the next day or a couple days later, and it was simple to figure out. The return label showed up fast, and they kept me updated when they got it back. The new size shipped a few days after that, or around then, and there wasn’t any annoying back and forth. it went way smoother than I expected. Returns are usually a pain, but this one really wasn’t. I’d order from them again.

Some of the merch does look cool, and I do like the whole outdoor vibe they’re going for. But a lot of the designs feels a little plain to me. I just wish there was more variety instead of so many basic logos. It’s not bad at all, just probably not something I’d buy all the time.

I gave it 4 stars because my order from themeateater.com actually showed up with the right stuff and the right sizes, which is the main thing I worry about when ordering online. The box was kind of beat up when it got to me, like it had been knocked around a bit, but nothing inside was messed up or damaged. So yeah, not perfect, but overall it was fine and I’d probably order from them again.

I do enjoy some of the MeatEater articles and videos, especially when they get into hunting tips or talk through gear. There’s definitely some useful stuff on there. That said, I sometimes get the feeling they circle back to the same topics a lot, and I can’t always tell if a gear mention is just honest opinion or if there’s a little sales push behind it. Not saying it’s bad, because it isn’t, but I don’t find myself checking it every day. Overall, it’s a solid site, just one I take with a small grain of salt

That said, some pages take longer to load than I’d like, and the menus feel a little cluttered when I’m using my phone. Checkout did work fine in the end, but it took a few more clicks than I expected. Not perfect, but I can live with it
